Sea Ray wins Consumers Digest award

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Sea Ray Boats’ 205 Sport has been certified a Consumers Digest magazine Best Buy, the company reported in a statement today.

On average, this rating is awarded to fewer than three percent of the competing models in any given product category, Sea Ray stated.

“We’re very proud to be recognized as having exceptional value in today’s highly competitive marine marketplace,” said Rick Stone, president of Sea Ray Boats. “The Consumers Digest Best Buy certification is a very credible and prestigious third-party acknowledgement of our product quality and customer satisfaction.”

In their recently released August 2008 issue, the editors at Consumers Digest remarked that the Sea Ray 205 Sport “delivers big fun for its price,” citing that it has “plenty of oomph for water skiers and kids on tow tubes” and includes popular water-sports options like an aluminum tower and board racks, according to Sea Ray. “Many bowriders aren’t equipped to handle these,” said the editors.

“This achievement holds the promise that [Sea Ray] will continue to research and develop products that satisfy the growing needs of enlightened consumers well into the future,” said Randy Weber, publisher of Consumers Digest magazine, in a letter to Rick Stone. “Congratulations! Your company has earned it.”
