Trailer Boats, Boston Whaler partner for video series

MAPLE GROVE, Minn. – Trailer Boats magazine and Boston Whaler Boats have launched a six-part instructional video series titled “Boating Made Easy,” the companies reported in a release this week.

This joint venture highlights the basics of all things boating and includes brief, highly focused vignettes located on www.TrailerBoats.com.

“These six videos are designed to help overcome any obstacles to entering the boating market and help first-time boaters become comfortable with their boats,” said Jim Hendricks, publisher/editorial director of Trailer Boats. “Our editors take viewers on a step-by-step journey through the processes of towing, launching, docking and loading the boat on the trailer, all with Boston Whaler’s Montauk 170.”

“It is extremely important for the marine industry to not only keep the folks who already know the joys of boating, but attract and create new enthusiasts,” said Dusty McCoy, Brunswick Corporation’s chairman and chief executive officer. “There are many misconceptions that we need to confront, and barriers we need to break down to get people in a boat, on the water, and eventually to become boat owners. This video series is just one way we are working to achieve those ends.”

“In addition to educating first-time boat buyers and removing any barriers to entering the boating market with these videos, we also saw an opportunity to introduce them to the fleet of our boats,” said Kim Hegel, marketing director of Boston Whaler. “We saw Trailer Boats magazine as the logical partner in this venture because their readers, like a Boston Whaler boat owner, are passionate and live for the boating lifestyle.”
