Florida dealership adds second location

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Despite tough times for the boating industry – especially in Florida and California – St. Petersburg, Fla.-based boat dealer Thunder Marine is expanding to a second location, according to an article on HeraldTribune.com.

The new site, which is based in Englewood at the Harbor at Lemon Bay, will carry Four Winns, Hydra-Sports, Riviera and Silverton boat brands, as well as pre-owned inventory and a full brokerage department, according to the newspaper.

“Despite the slowdown in the economy, sales at Thunder Marine remain strong,” said Mark LaPrade, the company’s president, the newspaper reported. “This expansion has come at a perfect time and is only phase one in our company’s plan to grow market share.”

Thunder Marine already has a separate service center, mobile service fleet, rackominium storage and a marina at Harbor at Lemon Bay, the newspaper added.
