McMillen Yachts launches redesigned Web site
BRISTOL, R.I. – Pirata Media, LLC has launched a redesigned Web site for Beaufort, S.C., and Newport, R.I.-based McMillen Yachts Inc., Pirata said in a recent release.
The site, www.woodenyachts.com, showcases the company’s fleet of original classic wooden Mathis-Trumpy motor yachts, past and current restoration projects and fractional ownership opportunities.
Hundreds of images were hand scanned for the Web site to show the history and progression of the renovation processes. To date, McMillen Yachts has restored nearly a dozen yachts and in the process has built what it calls “the finest collection of classic American yachts in the world.”
During the summer months, the fleet bases out of Newport and cruises between New York and Maine.
“We’ve received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback on the site, which does a great job of providing information to our partners and prospects about our company background, program and history of our yachts,” said Earl McMillen III, president, McMillen Yachts.
“I loved working on the McMillen Yachts Web site from the very beginning of this project – because of the content and concept – Earl restores historically significant boats in danger of being lost to time and the elements,” said Cherie Daniel, art director, Pirata Media.
