Yamaha and Sundance to cooperate for growth
KENNESAW, Ga. – Yamaha Marine Group will become the exclusive supplier of outboard power to Sundance Boats and will provide advice and technical support designed to advance the boat company’s future growth, Yamaha reported in a release yesterday.
“Sundance has grown dramatically in recent years and during this time they have increased their reputation for building quality products,” said Mark Tracy, Yamaha Marine Group OEM assistant division manager. “We look forward to working with Sundance and growing our businesses together. By partnering with Yamaha, Sundance will now have the ability to offer their dealers access to some of the advantages Yamaha offers, such as a comprehensive dealer education program and online warranty registration.”
Sundance Boats, which manufactures shallow-draft fishing skiffs, was founded in 1994.
“This isn’t just an agreement to supply outboards,” said Wally Bell, president of Sundance Boats. “Yamaha brings value to the relationship by providing terrific technical support as we develop new boat lines. At the same time, its outboards are known for reliability, which is a great asset to our dealers and our customers. We are seeking to improve customer satisfaction as we grow and expand into new segments, and Yamaha has the highest in the business for outboards.”
