International sales keep Trinity Yachts afloat

GULFPORT, Miss. – At a time when the U.S. economy is struggling, the Trinity Yachts shipyard remains very busy, WLOX reported in a story Wednesday.

Trinity President John Dane credits the company’s success to a growing international customer base that is taking advantage of a weak U.S. dollar.

“The overseas clients think our boats are on sale, so it’s great for our business,” Dane told the station. “The last six boats, we’ve sold to overseas clients. And we see that as a continuing trend.”

Trinity Yachts has launched two super yachts this year. Three more should be completed before 2008 ends. In fact, the shipyard is looking for 200 more employees to build all the yachts it has on order, according to the report.
