Centurion launches new color configurator
MERCED, Calif. – Centurion Boats has created a new color configurator function for its Web site that allows customers to create their own custom color combinations when shopping for boats, the company reported yesterday.
Development of the configurator began in January of 2007 when key personnel within the company began working with Channel Blade Technologies on the project.
Teknision, a company with experience in the automotive industry was also enlisted to help with the project, which allows customers to choose from a dozen in-gelcoat graphic packages available in 16 gelcoats and with 10 metal flake accents.
The configurator gives customers “a true preview” of the exterior gelcoat options, interior vinyl color sets and the welt accent colors available for every model, Centurion said.
