Bluepoints Marina signs Marinas International

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Bluepoints Marina at Port Canaveral has signed a management contract with Marinas International to become the operator of the Bluepoints Marina, currently under construction in Port Canaveral, Fla., Marinas International reported in a release yesterday.

Kirby Cay Scheimann, a Certified Marina Manager, is the managing director of Marinas International’s Management Division and as such will oversee the implementation of Bluepoints Marina’s policies, programs and day-to-day operations, as well as staffing the marina.

“While we interviewed several qualified marina management companies for this project, it became clear to us that Marinas International, and Kirby Scheimann, would be the best fit for our facility,” said Harry Bergman, president of First Republic Corporation of America, the parent company of Bluepoints, based in New York City.

“The construction of Bluepoints Marina is great news for boaters from all over Central Florida and the Cape Coast,” said Scheimann. “This beautiful facility will provide over 500 boat slips that will remain in the “for rent” market.

The foundations have all been laid, and the erection of the Dry Storage Building is currently underway. Completion is scheduled by years end, but is currently running ahead of schedule.

“Bluepoints will have a brand new ships store, restroom and bathhouse facilities, fish-cleaning stations, the works,” Scheimann said.
