Skipper Bud’s opens yacht center

WINTHROP HARBOR, Ill. – Skipper Marine Development has just completed extensive upgrades & improvements to Quarterdeck Marina in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., for its sister company SkipperBud’s, SMD said in a release yesterday.

With these improvements to the facility, SkipperBud’s introduces SkipperBud’s Yacht Center at Quarterdeck Marina, Sturgeon Bay.

The improvements include:

  • A new 33,000-square-foot yacht center and storage building that will be used for heated yacht storage and to showcase new and brokerage boats. It can accommodate Sea Ray Yachts up to 75 feet
  • The travel-lift well has been widened and dredged which will accommodate SkipperBud’s new Marine Travel-Lift 50BFM
  • A completely remodeled ship-store, showroom and administration building which includes a new boater’s “Clubhouse” with business center. The clubhouse features a large flat-screen TV, a fully functional kitchen and overlooks the marina as well as the reflecting pond and gazebo
  • Attached to the updated administration building, are individual shower/restroom suites detailed with professional design elements, such as warm colors, washed beach stone and artwork.
  • Quarterdeck Marina offers new, pre-owned and brokerage boat sales and has 240 slips with a floating dock system that can accommodate boats up to 70’ in length.
