Marinas International undergoes major expansion

DALLAS – Marinas International, a marina operator and management company, has acquired Eagle Cove and Holly Creek Marinas in Tennessee, Great Lakes Marina in Michigan and the 650-slip Marina and Resort — Brady Mountain in Hot Springs, Ark., it reported in a statement yesterday.

This gives the company a total of 22 marina locations with about 12,000 customers, and its managing partners are continuing to look for new acquisitions.

“These acquisitions will enable us to develop direct and long-term relationships with our boating members in each of these regions,” said Marshall Funk, CEO, and Stan Johnson, president, Marinas International, both of which are also managing partners in the company.

The company suggested its efforts to provide water access and houseboat rental programs are examples of how “Marinas International is thinking innovatively about how to bring better boating experiences to our members.”

“Through our Houseboat Rental division, ‘Waterway Adventures,’ we will provide high quality houseboat vacations for the entire family on some of the most pristine and best boating lakes in America,” stated Bob Faflik, also a partner in Marinas International.

“Continuing to expand in the mid-south will solidify our position as one of the most experienced marina operators in America geared towards providing excellent customer service and redefining lifestyle choices for visitors, vacationers and residents of the mid-south,” said Gregg Kenney, managing partner. “Our acquisitions are about excitement, energy and the vision to provide the ‘preferred recreational experience, at, on or near the water.’”
