JUPITER, Fla. – Marinas.com saw its visitors grow 68 percent in the first quarter of 2008 and its revenues grow 73 percent, it reported in a recent statement.
“Much of the revenue growth is coming from marine advertisers who want to reach active boaters in North America along with an international audience,” Marinas.com stated.
The site, which has been live since 1995 and is a registered trademark, is interactive and image-based with over 2,000,000 visits, and 125,000,000 hits per year, it reported. The online marine travel center holds over 500,000 high resolution marine images of marinas, inlets, port harbor overviews, locks, bridges, both as slideshow views and as Mapviews. Among other things, it allows boaters to make marina reservations at its 15,000 marinas in North America, Western Europe and the Caribbean.
In May, the site will be releasing its new Mapview, along with enhanced mapping tools, new search engine, and a new Affiliate program for each marina so that marina owners can generate income as subscribers on Marinas.com, the site reported.
