BROOKLIN, Maine – Professional BoatBuilder magazine is launching a new series of interactive virtual shows titled ProBoat Events Online, it reported in a recent statement.
The first of its events will be Marine Composites, an online conference and virtual trade show intended to bring the global community of marine composites manufacturers together with boat builders throughout the world.
This free online event, scheduled to take place April 16-17, will feature virtual exhibits from marine composites companies, online seminars, downloadable white papers, and networking opportunities. During the live event, exhibitors will be able to interact with registered attendees, engage in IM, or email conversations with customers who are visiting the show, or viewing their booths, according to organizers.
The seminars will include presentations by Richard Downs-Honey (High Modulus) on Composite Boatbuilding – Why Is It So Complex and Confusing; Steve Burke (Burke Design LLC) on Selecting Composite Materials; Helge von der Linden (von der Linden GmbH) on Impact-Testing Panels: Finding the best reinforcement for cold molded panels of a 54-foot world cruiser; and Rob Schofield (Naval Architect) on Determining Laminate Properties.
