Viking reports good sales in Miami

NEW GRETNA, N.J. – Viking Yachts took advantage of extra slip space and a display that featured virtually every model in its range from 45 feet to 74 feet to achieve success at the recent 2008 Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show, the reported said in a release yesterday.

The company said that when the sun went down on the last day of the brokerage show, Viking had deposits on 14 boats and “clearly led the industry with its performance.”

The event was marked with the introductions of the Viking 60 Convertible and its Enclosed Bridge sibling, as well as the premiere of the Viking 50 Convertible. Crow’s Nest Yacht Sales, Viking’s west coast dealer, showcased its Bad Company Edition 60 Convertible and sold two boats during the show.

Viking’s Art Enders and his crew put together a display accented with soft blue lighting for an alluring nighttime effect that drew many appreciative comments, the company said.
