MarineMax offers mothers free boating classes

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Boat retail giant MarineMax is throwing an on-water Mother’s Day Celebration at its locations across the country this May 4, it reported in a statement yesterday.

“At MarineMax, we know that it’s often mothers that organize boating outings and other family events, so we wanted to take this opportunity to offer our thanks,” said Glenn Sandridge, vice president of marketing at MarineMax. “We’re inviting moms across the country to join us for in a day designed just for them.”

At more than 60 MarineMax locations across the U.S., women will have the opportunity to participate in the company’s Women on Water class, designed to introduce women to the boating lifestyle, including the finer points of docking and steering. Other activities will vary by location, according to the company. The events are free and open to the public, but space is limited.
