Marina CSI programs launched

WARREN, R.I. — The Association of Marina Industries (AMI), a nonprofit association providing marinas management training, education, and information about research, and Survey Advantage, a provider of marine-services boater-retention programs and boater-opinion research, have formed a partnership to offer AMI’s membership several customer satisfaction programs, the groups reported in a recent statement.

The agreement offers AMI and its members discounted programs ranging from marina/boater loyalty programs to integrated real-time surveying upon boater visits or service requests. Integrated real-time surveying may be automated or semi-automated depending on the marina’s software-operating system, according to the two groups.

“More and more, the marina industry competes with other forms of recreation. This program has already helped marinas identify key areas for growth and ways to enhance the boating experience,” said Jim Frye, AMI’s chair. “We believe all our members will benefit from this program. The more we understand boater opinions and needs — both at the individual marina and industry-wide level — the more proactive the industry will be to enhance the boater experience and raise the bar.”

“This agreement launches a new relationship between Survey Advantage and AMI. It’s a significant step forward that allows marinas to drive improvements, to change with customer demands, and to benchmark performance on key boater-satisfaction areas,” said Michael Casey, president and founder of Survey Advantage.
