Lear Baylor, Inc. to add 50 new U.S. territories

OAK PARK, Ill. – Boat manufacturer Lear Baylor, Inc., will be expanding its dealer base in fifty new exclusive territories across the U.S., the Marine Retailers Association of America reported in a message this week.

Shanda Lear Baylor, daughter of Bill Lear (founder of Motorola and inventor of the Learjet) and president/CEO of Lear Baylor, Inc., said the program would begin immediately.

“To meet growing domestic demand and achieve its goal of surpassing Duffy’s current market dominance, Lear will add 50 dealers in key U.S. territories over the next twelve months.” MRAA wrote in its release. “To do so, it will be telephoning selected MRAA dealers in target markets to confirm dealer suitability and to invite the dealer and his sales manager to visit California, all expenses paid, for a demonstration and test of the Learboat in glamorous Newport Harbor and to discuss the opportunity for the dealer to be granted an exclusive Learboat sales territory.“
