NMMA show promotion to feature NFL players

CHICAGO – National Marine Manufacturers Association plans to debut the new Maxum “Get in the Game Boat Giveaway,” powered by GM, at seven boat and sportshows in 2008, NMMA reported in a release this week.

The promotion offers show visitors the opportunity to meet a local National Football League player while entering to win a variety of prizes. Throughout each of the seven participating shows, visitors can enter to win the grand prize, a football-themed Maxum 2200 SR3 equipped with Sirius satellite radio, trailer, pigskin interior and various football-related souvenirs.

In May, following the culmination of all seven shows, one winner will be selected to win the Maxum boat, valued at more than $55,000.

Featured professional football players will greet boat show attendees and sign autographs at the promotion’s display, located at each show’s entrance. Show visitors can also win prizes on-site, including Sirius satellite radios, signed footballs and jerseys.

“We’re excited to partner with Maxum and GM on this promotion to bring a fun and interactive experience to boat and sportshow attendees,” said Ben Wold, NMMA executive vice president. “This promotion provides added exposure to the boating lifestyle by spotlighting professional football players who spend their time off the field enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.”
