Yamaha offers two retail promotions for 2008

KENNESAW, Ga. – Yamaha Marine Group will kick off the 2008 boat show season with two new retail promotions designed to drive traffic and close sales as dealers start the year, the company reported in a release yesterday.

For a limited time, Yamaha is offering consumers Yamaha Limited Warranty protection for up to six years or up to the year 2014 (through the addition of a 3-year extended warranty – Yamaha Y.E.S.) on select, eligible models purchased from participating, registered dealers. As a bonus, eligible F150 and F250 buyers will also receive a $500 credit, based on MSRP, toward the purchase of goods and services from the participating dealer that sold the outboard. Standard registration runs between Jan. 1 and March 31, 2008.

Eligible models include new four-stroke outboards, manufactured since April 2005, ranging from the F50 through the F250; two-stroke carbureted models ranging from 50hp to 150 hp; and 150-300 HPDI 2 strokes. Yamaha full-line and package dealers are eligible to participate in this promotion.

“As we move into the 2008 boat season, we recognize the current state of the marine industry as well as the fact that some dealers may be facing a challenging environment during the first quarter,” said Dale Barnes, marketing division manager, Yamaha Marine Group. “We hope these promotions will get dealers off to a positive start.”

Small outboard promotion

Yamaha’s Small Motor Promotion offers consumers up to a $250 credit, based on MSRP, in free goods and services on select, eligible models purchased from participating, registered dealer that sold the outboard. Standard registration is Jan. 1 through March 31, 2008.

Eligible new four-stroke models, manufactured since April 2005, range from the F2.5 to F40. F2.5 through F8 receive a $100 consumer credit benefit; F9.9 through F25, a $150 consumer credit benefit; and F40 a $250 consumer credit benefit.

Eligible new two-stroke models, manufactured since April 2005, range from 8hp to 40hp. The 8hp receives a $100 consumer credit benefit; 9.9hp to 25hp, a $150 consumer credit benefit; and 40hp a $250 consumer credit benefit.

Both full-line and package dealers are eligible to participate in this promotion. Additional terms, conditions and procedures apply. Dealers should consult the Dealership Instruction Manual and participation materials already shipped to them or speak directly with their Yamaha district marketing manager.
