USA Pavilion at METS sold out

CHICAGO – The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) has organized a sold-out USA Pavilion for the 2007 Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) for the 20th consecutive year, it reported in a recent statement.

The USA Pavilion will feature 84 companies and will be located in Hall 7 of the show. METS takes place Nov. 13-15 at Amsterdam RAI in the Netherlands.

More than 1,100 exhibitors from around the globe will be on hand for this year’s METS, which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2007 and is the world’s largest trade exhibition of equipment and accessories for the recreational marine industry, NMMA reported. METS typically draws crowds upwards of 17,000 individuals from nearly 100 different countries. The show, which will feature more than 130 U.S. exhibitors in 2007, including the 84 in the USA Pavilion, has been given the Trade Fair Certification status by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

“METS is the best opportunity outside of the United States for OEMs, distributors and other industry professionals to view a wide range of American recreational marine products with the concentration of products being hosted within one dedicated space,” said NMMA president Thom Dammrich. “With NMMA members comprising more than 10 percent of the exhibitors at this event, attendees should be able to locate almost any product they need from one of our members.”

The USA Pavilion will also host a special reception on Wednesday night, November 14, from 6-7:30 p.m. The reception, which is being sponsored by Polyform U.S., is a networking opportunity for American companies to meet international guests, NMMA stated.
