W.C. Bradley secures rights to Fin-Nor

TULSA, Okla. – The Zebco fishing tackle business of W.C. Bradley Co. now owns the global marketing rights to Fin-Nor, Tycoon and all related product brands, having recently acquired the last remaining international trademarks and rights from Mamiya-OP, Zebco reported in a release yesterday.

Details of the transaction are not being disclosed.

The Fin-Nor name and products have been part of the Zebco family of brands since March 2005 when the trademarks and marketing rights for North and South America were purchased from Hextek Technologies Inc. of Wilmington, N.C. Mamiya-OP had retained all other international Fin-Nor rights.

“Now we can offer the legendary Fin-Nor brand worldwide, validating our move into high-end products, saltwater and international markets,” said Ray More, marketing director for Fin-Nor, Van Staal and Quantum. “With the high success of our Fin-Nor re-launch little more than a year ago, and on the heels of exceptional response to additional products introduced at this year’s ICAST show, timing couldn’t be better for the expanded marketing opportunities we now have.”

The Fin-Nor line of products will join the company’s family-related saltwater brands of Van Staal and Quantum that have been getting increased attention of late in key international markets, especially in Europe, Japan, China and Australia.

“We’ll be addressing distribution on a country-by-country basis over the next several months,” More said. “All questions and interests concerning our saltwater brands in international markets should be directed to our world headquarters here in Tulsa, Okla.”
