Supra adopts five-year warranty plan

MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The 2008 model line of Supra boats is now equipped with the Five Star Protection plan, Skier’s Choice reported in a statement this morning.

The boat builder claims its Five Star Protection plan is “the longest, most comprehensive factory supported limited warranty in the tournament tow boat market today.”

“Our Lean transformation encourages us to go and see what the market wants,” said Rick Tinker, president of Skier’s Choice, manufacturer of Supra boats. “To that end, we surveyed over 1,000 owners of tournament boats. What we heard is that they want quality, reliability, and performance. The Five-Star Protection plan speaks directly to our product quality, and to our confidence in Supra’s ability to deliver best-in-class performance.”

The Five Star Protection plan features a limited lifetime hull warranty, a five-year engine and drive train warranty that is transferable to a second owner and a limited five-year warranty on components. Protection plan coverage applies to parts and labor costs, according to the company.

“Quality isn’t defined by a clever marketing slogan,” said Michael Littman, Skier’s Choice marketing director. “It’s the result of product development, engineering, production, and management all focused together on excellence.”

Supra is a two-time recipient of the National Marine Manufacturing Association Customer Satisfaction Index award.
