FLIBS gets interactive Web site

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Show Management has gone live with its newly redesigned, interactive Web site, www.showmanagement.com, to usher in the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, now underway, the show production company said in a statement Tuesday.

Commenting on the overhaul of the site, Efrem “Skip” Zimbalist III, President & CEO, said, “We wanted to create a Web site that makes it simple for show visitors to locate and connect with the exhibitors they are seeking.”

With the new Web site, the general public, show attendees and exhibitors have access to the resources and information they need to make the most of their boat show experience.

One of the new applications visitors will find on the Web site is a virtual tour option. People can get a better feel for the size and scope of the show, and plan their visit in advance when they take the virtual tour. For all show venues, users can to scroll over dock layouts and floor plans to engage pop-up information about specific exhibitors, including their precise show location, contact information and a photo sampling of the models/products on display.

By registering with My Show Planner, site visitors can request appointments through the site with brokers and exhibitors, as well as add companies, boats and local hot spots to their list of favorites.

Visitors to the revamped Web site can also make online ticket purchases, download site maps and floor plans, search for products and brands, use the online media center and find parking information, an exhibitor list including boats on display, a frequently asked questions page and links to city hot spots, lodging and travel information.
