Detroit Boat Show space sales up

LIVONIA, Mich. – Despite Michigan’s soft economy and the challenges that come with it, Detroit Boat Show exhibit sales are outpacing sales at the same time last year, show management reported in a recent statement.

“We are pleased to see this growth,” said MBIA President Van Snider. “We attribute the enthusiasm to the 50 year anniversary celebration of this event, for which we have been planning for several months, as well as our industry’s confidence in Michigan’s economic recovery.”

In addition to those exhibitors that traditionally exhibit at the Detroit Boat Show, several new exhibitors have acquired exhibit space, according to show management, which is targeting promotions to support all segments of boating, including fishing, wakeboarding and skiing, inland lake and Great Lakes boating.
