Aqua Marine Partners acquires Lazy Days Marina

AVENTURA, Fla. – Aqua Marine Partners (AMP), an integrated marina investment company, has purchased Lazy Days Marina on Lake Sidney Lanier in the greater Atlanta, Georgia metro area.

“Lazy Days is a great example of the caliber of marina we are interested in as we continue to grow our portfolio. It has been in operation for more than 30 years and is one of the premier marinas in Georgia,” said Andrew Sturner, founder and CEO of Aqua Marine Partners.

Lazy Days currently offers dry stack storage for more than 550 boats, storage for 270 trailers on racks, and courtesy docks for more than 150 boats. The marina includes 49 luxury floating docks built by Floating Docks Manufacturing Company, making it the only marina on the lake with all concrete docks which are 100 percent encapsulated in foam and able to accommodate large yachts from 75 to 125 feet.

“We have already begun a $3 million capital expansion project that will include new dry stack storage for boats up to 35 feet, new state-of-the-art wet slips for houseboats measuring up to 150 feet, a new sales dock and a new service shop and upgraded amenities,” said Sturner.

Equity financing for the transaction was provided by AMP BN Holdings I LLC, a joint venture between AMP and Bay North Capital, LLC. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lazy Days Marina is located at 6700 Holiday Road in Buford, about 45 minutes outside of Atlanta.
