New telematics firm formed
UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Faria Watchdog Inc., a newly formed and incorporated manufacturer of telematics-based tracking and monitoring equipment, has received certification from the enforcement division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration for its dual mode vessel monitoring system, reported President and CEO Dave Blackburn in a recent statement.
The system is designed for installation on commercial vessels fishing in both U.S. and international waters around the world.
Faria Watchdog Inc was launched for the purpose of developing and selling telematics-based tracking and monitoring equipment in applications including the recreational and commercial marine industries.
Faria’s system combines wi-fi, GSM (Cingular) and low earth orbit satellite technologies (Irridium) in a compact, “hack-proof”, low power draw, plug and play product architecture, according to the company.
