CHICAGO – Since Discover Boating kicked off its second annual national advertising campaign one month ago, Web traffic on DiscoverBoating.com is up 26 percent over the same period (March to April) in 2006, the National Marine Manufacturers Association reported in its Grow Boating e-newsletter update yesterday.
NMMA said the jump is proof that Discover Boating messages are resonating with consumers.
The campaign, which is scheduled to run through the Memorial Day holiday, is “off to a terrific start,” NMMA wrote in the newsletter.
National ads have appeared on cable television, in nearly a dozen national magazines and on more than 400 Web sites—including during online broadcasts of the NCAA basketball tournament, which broke all previous records for live Internet video streams in 2006.
