Attendance record set at Charleston Boat Show
CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Boat Show, held Jan. 26-28 at the Charleston Area Convention Center Complex, recorded the largest turnout in its 27-year history, organizers reported in a release over the weekend.
Overall attendance was 10,170, an 11 percent increase over last year’s show and a 20 percent increase over the past three years, JBM & Associates, producers of the show, said.
Feedback from the dealers at the show was overwhelmingly positive, with very strong sales made, as well as later sales resulting from show leads, according to the release.
“The January show is a barometer for the rest of the year; based on the show results, 2007 should be another great year for Charleston area boat dealers,” said Tim Clark of Longshore Boats.
The show featured more than 95 boat lines as well as the latest in marine accessories, products and services.
Next year’s Charleston Boat Show is scheduled for Jan. 25-27 at the Charleston Area Convention Center Complex.
