DeVos to speak at Miami Boat Show luncheon

ORLANDO – NBA Orlando Magic chairman and Amway co-founder Rich DeVos will speak at the “Leading with Vision and Values” luncheon at the Miami International Boat Show on Feb. 16, Regal Marine, which is sponsoring the luncheon, said recently.

“Rich DeVos is a passionate, principle-centered leader who has a tremendous ability to share experiences and cast vision at the same time,” said Tim Kuck, vice president of Regal Marine. “Anybody who hears his story will be inspired to lead with passion and principles.”

The 80-year-old DeVos has been the recipient of numerous achievement awards, as well as 11 honorary doctorate degrees. He is also an author of three books, and will be speaking on his latest book, “Hope From My Heart,” which was inspired by his life-changing experience of a heart transplant at age 71. He imparts 10 lessons for life on subjects like persistence, confidence, optimism, respect and faith.

According to Kuck, the overwhelming success and positive response from the past four Vision and Values luncheons have supported the continuation of the annual program.

“Our goal each year is to bring an inspiring speaker to the industry that lives by the highest standards of vision and values, and has a proven track record of conducting business accordingly,” Kuck said.

The “Leading with Vision and Values” luncheon will be held from noon – 1:15 p.m. during the Miami International Boat Show at the convention center. Tickets must be ordered by Jan. 31. For more information, contact Yolanda Quiceno at (407) 447-9208 or yquiceno@regalboats.com.
