Riviera grows its U.S. presence

COOMERA, Australia – Australian luxury cruiser manufacturer Riviera is growing its presence in the United States and throughout the rest of the world, it suggested in a recent statement.

“We have had a very successful year and we are right on track for our forecast production of 324 boats for a value of approximately $250 million (from the Manufacturing Division) in the 2006/07 financial year,” said CEO Wes Moxey. “The Miami Boat Show early in 2007 will be very big for us. We are currently increasing the number of dealers we have in the USA … We will be launching the 56 Enclosed Flybridge, the 56 Open Flybridge, the 4700 Sport Yacht and the M470 Sport Cruiser at Miami.”

Moxey said while the luxury boat market around the world had experienced a challenging 12 months, Riviera had defied the overall market trend and was continuing its upwards projection through the release of new models, expanding its dealer network and streamlining its retail sales operation.

Riviera plans four new models in the next eight months, is actively looking for more qualified trades people and plans a AUS$3-million expansion early in the new year to its aftermarket customer care facility including a new travel lift, he added.

“The year ahead looks very promising,” Moxey said.
