Mercury launches new consumer Web site

FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Mercury Marine has launched a completely redesigned consumer Web site featuring a new design and easy-to-navigate system, the company said in a release today.

Mercurymarine.com provides thorough data regarding Mercury products, services and company news and information.

In an effort to better facilitate business and communication with consumers and Mercury partners, Mercury will further develop the site with new technology and information on a continuing basis.

Other components and updates will be added throughout 2007, among them boat-test results that provide engine information to prospective boat-and-engine customers, and more sophisticated assistance to site visitors, such as engine-selection guides and additional interactive help.

The outboard engine families are categorized by technologies – Verado fourStrokes, traditional fourstrokes and Direct Injected two-strokes.

MerCruiser engines and stern drives also reside on specific pages. The process allows consumers to quickly and easily locate the engines they’re seeking and to access engine features, specifications and test data.

Visitors to the site can shop for parts and accessories online, order Mercury literature, including owner’s manuals, and view important product data.

In addition, consumers can locate information to help store their engine, view maintenance schedules, find an extended service contract, and research sales promotions.
