Yale Technologies licenses PolyPlus

SACO, Maine – Yale Rope Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Yale Cordage, has completed a licensing arrangement with Orion Ropeworks, Inc., Winslow, Maine, the manufacturer said in a press release Tuesday.

Under the agreement, Orion will manufacture PolyPlus three-strand combo rope products, and will market the products worldwide.

The terms of the license ensure that PolyPlus will be manufactured to Yale Rope Technologies’ stringent production guidelines.

“This agreement means that PolyPlus will continue to be manufactured here in the United States, by skilled U.S. rope-makers,” said Tom Yale, Yale Cordage president. “Many companies are now outsourcing rope manufacture to foreign countries. This agreement with Orion keeps these high-paying manufacturing jobs in Maine.”

Yale acquired the PolyPlus product line through its recent acquisition of the assets of Wall Rope of Spencer, N.C.
