One year later, 121 dealers certified
CHICAGO – Ten more boat dealerships recently became certified under the Grow Boating Initiative’s Marine Industry Dealership Certification program, Grow Boating reported in a recent statement. With addition of these dealerships to the program, a grand total of 121 dealerships now officially carry the “Marine Industry Certified” designation.
All newly-certified dealerships participated in Marine Industry Dealership Certification Launch Workshops across the country prior to earning their “certified” status and successfully completed an on-site visit, according to organizers.
Newly-certified dealerships are: Atlantic Boats Inc., E. Wardham, MA; Candlewood East Marina/O’Hara, Brookfield, CT; Channel Marine LLC, Wiers Beach, NH; Cobalt Boats of Atlanta, Buford, GA; Gordy’s Lakefront Marine Inc., Fontana, WI; Hobby Lobby Marine, Toms River, NJ; Intermarine Inc., Fort Lauderdale; Marine Center of Indiana, Indianapolis; Shipyard Marine Inc., Suamico, WI; and Tri-State Marine Inc., Deale, MD.
“November marks the official one-year anniversary of the Marine Industry Dealership Certification program, and in just 12 months time the program’s managed to bring an impressive number of dealerships — 400 of them — into the certification program,” said Phil Keeter, president of the Marine Retailers Association of America (MRAA). “Earning certified status not only demonstrates a dealership’s commitment to improving customer satisfaction, but it comes with additional benefits including free listings on the GrowBoating.org and DiscoverBoating.com websites, promotional materials and direct access to consumer prospects generated through the Discover Boating campaign.”
To date, a total of 400 dealerships have enrolled in the Marine Industry Dealership Certification program, 121 of which have completed the process and earned the official “Marine Industry Certified” designation. Fall Launch Workshop dates, as well as those for the Spring 2007 sessions, are posted on DealerCertification.org.
Marine Industry Dealership Certification is part of the industry’s Grow Boating Initiative, an integrated effort among organizations with an interest in the recreational marine industry to promote the boating lifestyle and improve the boating experience.
