Atlantic Marina to purchase two boatyards

CHARLESTON, S.C. – In yet another example of consolidation within the marina and boatyard industry, Atlantic Marina Holdings has signed a deal to purchase two South Florida boatyards.

The South Carolina-based company expects to spend about $80 million to acquire and develop E&H Boatworks in Fort Lauderdale and The Ways in Palm Beach Gardens into branches of its Harborage Club, according to the South Florida Business Journal.

At the Palm Beach Gardens site, The Harborage Club will house up to 550 boats in a 75-foot-tall structure. Dry slips are expected to be up to 50 feet in length with wet slips of up to 60 feet, the company reported on its web site.

At the Fort Lauderdale site, the company plans to build a hurricane-resistant dry storage facility designed to accommodate between 300 and 450 vessels up to 45 feet in length, according to its web site.
