Yale Cordage acquires Wall Rope

SACO, Maine – Yale Cordage, Inc., has formed a wholly owned subsidiary called Yale Rope Technologies, Inc., which has acquired the assets of Spencer, North Carolina- based Wall Rope, Inc., Yale officials reported earlier this week.

Wall rope’s North Carolina facility will continue manufacturing product, while sales and administration functions will be shifted to Yale Cordage’s Saco, Maine, facility, Tom Yale, president of Yale Cordage, Inc., said.

“We are very excited about the opportunities this acquisition presents, combining the talents, traditions, technology, and production capacity of these two great companies,” Yale said. “Together, the two companies have more than 235 years of rope-making history.”

The combined companies will continue to produce traditional rope products, as well as advanced-fiber ropes to a broad spectrum of markets. The companies currently service the power utility, oceanographic, recreational marine, arborist, oil production, paper, and timber-harvesting industries.
