Production begins for SeaStrike and SportCraft

FT. LAUDERDALE and PERRY, Fla. – S1 Marine, LLC has been formed as a holding company for both SeaStrike and SportCraft Boats, and both brands have begun production in the nearly 200,000 sq. ft. former SportCraft boat manufacturing facility in Perry, Fla., according to Tom Thies, president of sportfishing boat manufacturer SeaStrike Boats LLC and of S1 Marine.

S1 is also adding sales reps and is actively signing dealers for one, or both lines, depending on location and capability. Announcements of these appointments are expected over the next few months.

Thies said that S1 is employing many of the experienced former employees of Sport-Craft, among others. He has hired 50 people so far and anticipates another 100 being brought on during 2007, depending on sales.

While S1 is not exhibiting at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show this year, it is planning an expanded exhibit of both lines at the Miami Show in February and returning to Ft. Lauderdale next year.

The SeaStrike line consists of center consoles in 18, 19, 20, 22, 22 bracket and 24-foot models. The SportCraft line, which features sportfishing models, has a 23, 25, 27 and a 30 as well as 241 and 261 walkarounds.
