Exceptionally strong pre-registration for IBEX
BROOKLIN, Maine — Preliminary registration numbers indicate that this year’s International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference will draw the largest crowd of qualified professionals in the event’s 16-year history, organizers said in a release today.
More than half of the current pre-registered attendees have reserved seats in IBEX seminars, pushing many sessions close to capacity.
With three weeks still left before the show opens and one week left before pre-registration closes, thousands of boatbuilding professionals already are scheduled to attend IBEX 2006, to be held Nov. 1–3. The last day to register in advance of IBEX is Oct.19, after that date attendees must register on site.
“We are presenting a lot of in-demand topics in IBEX 2006 seminars,” said Carl Cramer, IBEX co-director. “Our attendees know that IBEX is the best possible resource for information on technologies, methods, and regulations, so we have a very high rate of attendance.”
Registration is also required to attend any of IBEX’s Pre-Conference Workshops on Oct. 31 or Exhibitors’ Workshops each afternoon of the show. Most of these workshops are free to attend, however there are a limited number of seats for IBEX attendees, and they are being reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
“All of the IBEX special events, including workshops and the Industry Breakfast, are valuable informational and networking opportunities for people working in all facets of the boatbuilding industry,” says Kathleen Clickett, IBEX co-director.
Boatbuilding professionals may register online at www.ibexshow.com, or by using a registration form from the back of any IBEX brochure distributed via mail and with copies of Professional BoatBuilder magazine. The Web site also features the most up-to-date information about seminars, exhibitors, special events, and workshops. Registration for the IBEX 2006 exhibition is free.
