Attendance up from last year at Boston show

MILTON, Mass. – Attendance at the eighth Boston International In-Water Boat Show, which concluded its four day run Oct. 1 at the World Trade Center in Boston, was up from last year, organizers reported in a release this week.

The Massachusetts Marine Trades Association, which was the flagship sponsor of the show, said that more than 121 powerboats, sailboats and personal watercraft were sold during the show.

Nearly $13 million in boat sales were recorded through the Boston Show’s exclusive Boat Buyer’s Bonanza Incentive Program, according to the release.

Daniel Lemieux, whose firm East Coast Flightcraft documented 22 boat sales during the four days of the show, said, “We use the Bonanza Program to close deals. We educate our customers that the Boston Show is the best place to buy thanks to the Bonanza Incentive Program. We are certain that even more sales will close in the coming weeks as a result of contacts made at the Boston show.”

Larry Russo Sr., of Russo Marine Sea Ray of Boston reported that sales were up 55 percent over last year.

“We are very pleased with the results that we achieved,” Russo said. “We enlarged our display in this year’s show to 52 boats and enjoyed a remarkable increase in sales. Year after year, the Boat Buyer’s Bonanza program gives us a unique opportunity to close sales at the Show”.

The 2007 Boston International In Water Boat Show will be held Sept. 27 – 30 at the World Trade Center.
