Boating Industry Intelligence You Can Profit From
GUILFORD, Conn. – Mobilarm, manufacturer of the MOBi-lert automatic crew-monitoring systems introduced to the North American market at MAATS 2006, has opened a warehouse and distribution center in Guilford, Conn., the company reported yesterday.
Trading as Mobilarm U.S.A., the Connecticut facility will have an inventory covering the range of the company's MOBi-lert systems, which are designed to enable a quick rescue in a man-over-board emergency. The systems are available in configurations for small boats to large yachts, as well as commercial marine applications.
"We recognized early on that to properly serve the US market, as well as north and south of the US borders, we had to have inventory and provide customer service from a base in the US," said Andrew Hill, Mobilarm’s managing director.
Sales of the Mobilarm line in the United States will be managed by Ocean Marketing, with assistance from other firms including CTECH Technical Sales on the West Coast and Woodard & Company in Canada.
