Hatteras Collection going exclusive
NEW BERN, N.C. – The Hatteras Collection and Galati Yacht Sales have mutually agreed to discontinue Galati’s representation of the Cabo product line in the Gulf of Mexico region, the Brunswick Boat Group unit reported in a recent statement.
This decision reflects the Hatteras Collection’s desire to integrate its product distribution through a Hatteras Collection exclusive dealer network, according to the company, and comes after extended discussions between the two organizations. Hatteras Collection boat brands include Albemarle Boats, Cabo Yachts and Hatteras Yachts.
This move comes only six months after Brunswick acquired Cabo Yachts to fill in its offshore sportfishing boat offering.
Carmine Galati, principal of the Gulf Coast dealership, commented that Galati’s leadership understood and respected the Hatteras Collection’s strategy.
“For the past 10 years, Galati Yacht Sales has contributed greatly to the strong industry position currently held by Cabo Yachts but future strategy dictates another direction for the Cabo brand, one that is more closely tied to the rest of the Hatteras Collection,” said Mark Harakal, president of the Hatteras Collection. “However, we greatly value Galati’s loyalty and excellent service to the Cabo brand and wish the organization nothing but success in its future endeavors.”
