Number of certified dealers climbs to 82

CHICAGO – Thirteen more boat dealerships recently became certified under the Grow Boating Initiative’s Marine Industry Dealership Certification program, the National Marine Manufacturers Association reported in a recent statement.

All newly-certified dealerships participated in Marine Industry Dealership Certification Launch Workshops across the country prior to earning their “certified” status. They include the following: Clinton Harborside Marina, Clinton, Connecticut; Crystal Pierz Marine of Rogers, Rogers, Minnesota; Happy Days Boating, Port Clinton, Ohio; Hoffmaster’s Marina Inc., Woodbridge, Virginia; Huron Lagoons Marina, Huron, Ohio; Lands’ End Marina & Yacht Sales, Harrison Township, Michigan; Melvin Village Marina, Melvin Village, New Hampshire; Paradise Marine Center, Gulf Shores, Alabama; Ship & Sail Inc., Kemah, Texas; Slalom Shop Boats & Yachts, Lewisville, Texas; The North Atlantic Marine Group of MD, Stevensville, Maryland; The Sportsman, San Benito, Texas; and Walstrom Marine Inc., Harbor Springs, Michigan

“These 13 dealerships represent a rapidly-growing group in the industry that have made a bona-fide commitment to improving the sales and service experience for customers,” said Larry Russo, owner of Russo Marine and chairman of the Marine Certification Inc. Board of Directors. “They join upwards of 80-plus dealerships that have earned the elite ‘Marine Industry Certified Dealership’ distinction.”

To date, a total of 82 dealerships have completed the certification process and earned the “Marine Industry Certified” designation, according to NMMA. An additional 23 dealerships have certification visits scheduled for August. The first fall Launch Workshop dates are now posted on DealerCertification.org.
