MarineMax opens Baltimore Harbor service facility

BALTIMORE – MarineMax has opened a new 6,500 square-foot full service facility on the Baltimore Harbor, the company reported yesterday in a press release.

The facility will provide maintenance and repairs on everything from engines and auxiliary systems to generators and air conditioners. Services such as detailing and bottom painting are also available. With a lift capable of hauling up to 80 tons, the facility is equipped to service almost any size and brand of craft floating in Baltimore Harbor.

“With more than 3,000 active slips in the area, we recognized the need for a full service facility in the Harbor,” says Mike Murawski, vice president of MarineMax’s Mid-Atlantic Region.

Bill Luvera, service manager of the new MarineMax facility, will lead a full team of service technicians. In addition to providing in-house service, MarineMax Baltimore also offers full mobile service, bringing professional service technicians right to a client’s boat – in a slip, on land, or wherever the craft may be. Emergency service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

“Our two other sales and service facilities in the area – MarineMax Joppa and MarineMax White Marsh, provide exceptional service for midsize boats,” Luvera said. “The new facility complements their services by focusing on larger craft.”
