U.K. supplier targeting U.S. market
UNITED KINGDOM – U.K. manufacturer of deck gear for sailing yachts Barton Marine has opened a warehouse and distribution center in Connecticut to better service the U.S. market, it reported in a recent statement.
Trading as Barton U.S.A. with an inventory covering the company’s most popular sail hardware and boat accessory products, the new facility is expected to speed delivery and enhance customer service for Barton’s U.S. wholesale and retail customer base.
The Barton Marine product line will be distributed throughout the U.S. by Ocean Marketing, a manufacturer’s representative company.
“It is important for us to have our own base in U.S. to enable us to offer the level of service which is expected of a quality brand,” said David Coleman, managing director of Barton Marine. “We are also particularly pleased to have created the partnership with Ocean Marketing, which will strengthen our sales and supply chain within the U.S. and help us grow within this important market.”
