Yamaha extends repower promotion

KENNESAW, Ga. – Yamaha Marine Group has extended its “Repower with Yamaha and Take Command” promotion until July 31, the company reported in a recent release.

Under the terms of the promotion, which started at the beginning of May, owners with used boats can save up to $6,635 in benefits depending upon the type of installation and eligible repowers.

The promotion applies to eligible outboards purchased between May 1 and July 31. It offers consumers one of two options. Option one includes a Yamaha Command Link Starter Kit and a credit to dealer towards eligible rigging/labor costs. Option two is exclusively a credit to dealer towards eligible rigging/labor costs.

“For boaters who have decided midway through the boating season that it is time to repower, this is a great incentive and savings to do it now,” said Dale Barnes, Yamaha Division Manager, Marketing. “The opportunity to upgrade to the new Command Link system is an added bonus. If [a customer’s] used boat is already equipped with Command Link with an eligible outboard motor, the dealer can apply the credit towards labor for the installation of the eligible outboard.”

There are specific eligibility requirements to participate in the promotion. For example, the benefits of option one do not apply to Yamaha Outboards built before April 5, 2005. Option two choices are exclusively based on a credit towards rigging/labor costs and are only available for eligible models manufactured in model year 2004, 2005 or after April 5, 2005 in which Command Link is not installed with the purchase, either due to engine incompatibility or customer preference.

In addition, outboards are only eligible for the promotion if they are sold to a customer that is repowering a used boat they already own. Eligible outboard models must have been delivered and invoiced to the dealer by Yamaha. Additional terms, conditions and procedures apply. Customers should see their authorized participating Yamaha outboard dealer for complete details.
