Simrad expands into new facility
LYNNWOOD, Wash. – Simrad, Inc., North American distributor of Simrad marine electronics for the recreational and professional boating markets, has expanded into a new facility in Everett, Wash., the company said today.
The move is designed to provide increased ”breathing room” for Simrad, Inc.’s sales, marketing, accounting, human resources and other business-oriented functions, while paving the way for anticipated strong growth for the company in the North American marine electronics market.
Simrad, Inc. will maintain its presence at the company’s former North American headquarters in nearby Lynnwood, Wash. This facility will serve as Simrad, Inc.’s service and distribution center, handling vendor shipments, warehousing, outbound shipments, customer returns and customer service functions for all of North America.
”This is a great day for all of us in the Simrad family,” said Brian D. Staton, president of Simrad, Inc. ”We’ve recognized for some time that we needed room to grow, but it took quite a while of searching to find the ideal situation for our company and our people. The new office had to be a perfect fit for us, yet be able to handle future growth. It also had to be close enough to the Lynnwood service and distribution center to be practical. Our new home achieves both these goals, plus it actually shortens commute time for many of our employees—an important quality-of-life issue in this day and age.”
The company is keeping its existing phone number to service both facilities.
