Dealers’ rights law firm expanding
MINEOLA, N.Y. – Bellavia Gentile & Associates, LLP, a law firm that advocates for the rights of franchised or licensed automobile and boat dealers, is opening a second Long Island office at 50 Park Avenue in Bay Shore as the firm continues to expand its coverage throughout the region, the company said in a recent statement.
The firm’s main office is also located on Long Island in Mineola with additional offices in New York City and Albany, N.Y.
“We needed to respond to the increasing number of Suffolk County auto and boat dealers retaining our law firm,” stated Leonard A. Bellavia, the firm’s senior partner and chair of the Litigation Section of the National Association of Dealer Counsel and also Chair of the Automotive Franchise Law Section of the Franchise Law Committee of the New York State Bar Association.
With offices in Long Island, Manhattan, and Albany, N.Y., the attorneys at Bellavia Gentile & Associates offer “vast experience litigating against the manufacturers and distributors of automobiles and boats throughout the country,” according to the company.
Earlier this year, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Marine Retailers Association of America through which MRAA members can receive representation at a discounted rate.
Over the years, thousands of dealers have hired the team of lawyers in a variety of legal matters ranging from franchise disputes and lease negotiations to the purchase or sale of dealership businesses, real estate matters, and complex federal and state court litigation, the firm reported.
Most recently, the firm formed a Personal Services Practice Group to provide dealer clients and their employees with an additional array of legal services, including estate planning/elder law; matrimonial law; personal injury; personal real estate; and criminal law.
