New GrowBoating.org unveiled

CHICAGO – The newly-redesigned Grow Boating website, GrowBoating.org, was launched last Monday and features several new and updated elements to help manufacturers and dealers become involved with the Grow Boating Initiative and the value-added programs it offers, the National Marine Manufacturers Association said in a statement Wednesday.

Visitors to the site, which serves as the industry’s interface with the Discover Boating campaign, will be asked to register and log-in to receive detailed industry information including Discover Boating marketing and public relations information; Marine Industry Dealership Certification information; water access protection research and plans; and details of the NMMA Certification program.

Due to the vast audience expected to visit GrowBoating.org, the homepage is designed to provide basic information on the Grow Boating Initiative and direct any non-industry visitors to learn more at DiscoverBoating.com. Industry stakeholders must register on the site to access the industry-only portion of GrowBoating.org, where they will have access to many key programs offered through the Grow Boating Initiative.

“GrowBoating.org is really two sites in one – the homepage is for all visitors, but by asking industry stakeholders to register, we’re providing a protected site that allows users to securely view and manage their information while accessing important news in each of the Grow Boating program areas,” said Steve Tadd, Grow Boating director. “It is important that all industry stakeholders register as soon as they enter the site so they can immediately access all the Grow Boating Initiative has to offer.”

Once registered, GrowBoating.org allows contributing manufacturers to upload, update and verify information displayed on DiscoverBoating.com, manage their individual profiles and sort and retrieve valuable sales leads. Beginning March 13, contributing marine dealers who register at GrowBoating.org can upload their information into the DiscoverBoating.com dealer finder as part of the overall Discover Boating Dealer Program. They can request marketing and point of sale materials to place inside their dealerships. Contributing dealers can also sign up for Marine Industry Dealership Certification launch meetings.

Site registration also provides all industry stakeholders access to Discover Boating marketing materials and results from Grow Boating marketing efforts and programs. In addition, stakeholders can pledge support for Grow Boating and contribute to the voluntary Rising Tide Fund.
