Marine generator maker reports strong sales

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. – Marine generator manufacturer Fischer Panda Generators U.S., has ended 2005 with a 37-percent increase in sales, the company reported in a recent release.

Chad Godwin, director of sales for the U.S. operation, which opened its doors in 1995, attributed the increase to several new product enhancements, including a remote “smart panel” diagnostic system added to the standard line of fresh-water cooled marine generators.

“We have also strengthened our position with several boat manufacturers, who will be adding the Fischer Panda line as standard equipment, and have made significant in-roads within military markets,” said Godwin.

Thanks to the new business Fischer Pandaˆs U.S. headquarters in Oakland Park, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale, is also adding new personnel.

“We definitely are in a growth mode,” said Godwin.

The company has over 200 authorized dealers in North and South America.

The company said it expects continued sales gains in 2006 as it unveils The Electra, a new prototype diesel electric hybrid, and, through its subsidiary, Megatech-Marine, offers a new series of diesel engines manufactured and marinized by Megatech Dumon in Brazil.
