Fountain Powerboat boasts $56 million order backlog
WASHINGTON, N.C. – Fountain Powerboat Industries, Inc., a sport boat, fish boat and express cruiser manufacturer, has a backlog of about $56 million in orders, the company reported in a recent statement.
Contributing to this was signed orders in excess of $2 million at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the company said.
“Our entire sales team, which included members from four of our dealers located in Florida, did a tremendous job in presenting our product line of performance fish boats, sport boats and express cruisers,” said Nick Miller, Fountain Powerboat’s director of dealer development. “The better than expected turnout of boating enthusiasts kept our sales team busy answering questions and closing orders.”
Reginald Fountain, Jr., chief executive officer and president, said, “We were pleased to see the ‘show must go on’ attitude, as thousands of people in the South Florida workforce, from cab companies, hotels and restaurants, to other marine-related businesses, depend on revenue from this boat show. We look at the Fort Lauderdale show as one of the most prominent shows in the marine industry and, in spite of the devastation from Hurricane Wilma, we were pleased to be able to participate in this year’s show.”
