Yamaha U on pace for record graduates

LAS VEGAS – With two sessions to go, and very strong early enrollment numbers, Yamaha University’s series of Strategic Dealer Management Symposiums is on pace to graduate a record number of dealers this year.

One of the largest groups ever, 118 representatives from dealerships around the country, completed the company’s three-day curriculum Nov. 3 in Las Vegas, where they learned techniques and methods from experienced instructors on improved sales, service, marketing and profitability.

They were also shown how higher CSI scores relate to increased profits.

Yamaha Marketing Manager Dale Barnes, who taught a session on the value of branding for dealerships, said the intent of the Symposiums and other training is not to sell motors, but to help dealers improve their business operations.

There are two more sessions planned this year, one in Dallas at the end of the month and another in mid-December in Orlando.
