Marine Concepts makes room for new equipment

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Marine Concepts has opened a new 8,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at its headquarters in Cape Coral, Fla., the company reported in a recent statement.

The building was constructed primarily to house its new million-dollar PAR M125 fully robotic 5-Axis milling machine. This brings the number of multi-axis mills to five for the company, which provides design and tooling services to the fiberglass industry.

The Ribbon Cutting was held in late October in conjunction with The Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce’s monthly After Hours event. Over 100 local business people, along with State Representative Kottkamp, City Director Carl Schwing, Economic Development Director Mike Jackson, and Cape Coral Chamber President Mike Quiantance, were able to observe the new equipment in operation during plant tours.

Two major benefits of the PAR M125 are much higher cutting tolerances and faster cut speeds, according to the company. Customers will be able to get their product to market sooner due to reduced hands-on sanding and fairing time.
